People of Jordan
This is an initiative emphasizing that our unity as the people of Jordan, regardless of origins, religions, or cultures, plays a major role in building a bright future for generations to come. Let us agree on the fact that our love for Jordan is bigger than our differences, that our support for each other is the key to our success, and that our unity is the light that shines in a world full of shadows.
Since the dawn of civilization, Jordan’s geography and climate has given it an important role to play as a channel for trade and communications, connecting east and west, north and south. Many of the world’s great and diverse civilizations took shelter in Jordan and built the wonders we still see today.
Diversity has always been a huge part of the Jordanian culture. Despite difficulties, and with mutual respect and appreciation to all cultures in Jordan, we have managed to go a long way in creating a decent living in a growing country.
Objective: Emphasize on the fact that despite our diversity, we are united and share equal passionate responses on emotional occasions.
Strategy: A few smart, well-designed visuals can stir the emotions that we all shared and still share, especially during specific events within the last ten years. Topics include Jordan’s Independence celebrations, Abu Ghosh, Muath, Zyoud, Amman Bombings, and Petra being voted a world wonder.
Independence Day
With all the events that happened in Jordan throughout its vast history, this is the one that has always been celebrated with pride by everyone.
2005 Amman Bombings
Jordan has been through plenty of ups and downs, but nothing shook the people of Jordan as violently as the devastating bombings in 2005.
Petra
On July 7th, 2007, the city of Petra was voted one of the 7 world wonders. The Kingdom of Jordan became internationally known for its numerous diverse relics, and visitors came flying in to experience the beauty of our small home.
Muath
Muath was the victim of a barbaric, brutal, and unacceptable crime against humanity, let alone against the peoples of Jordan. Our unity and strength during these sad times was internationally recognized.
Abu Ghosh
Jordan’s first Olympic Gold Medal was a huge deal to every Jordanian around the world. Abu Ghosh made us all proud and optimistic with hopes of many more to come.
Zyoud
Zyoud gave his life to protect our nation, to keep it safe. His bravery united us all in a stand that constructed indisputable strength.
